Chapter 3

I didn't know who Stella was, but I had heard Liam's friends mention her at previous gatherings.

They said Stella was beautiful and smart, and had studied at a prestigious university abroad.

At the time, I was sipping red wine on the side, listening to them reminisce about the past, finding it quite interesting.

Until they started wondering if Stella had found a boyfriend yet, saying she might even be married by now.

Liam suddenly spoke up to stop them. The others immediately changed the subject, as if those words had never been spoken.

That was the first time I felt something was off. From what I knew of Liam, he was definitely angry just then.

Even though his face remained expressionless, I could hear the anger in his voice. He was furious.

Was it because he didn't like the topic? Or because he didn't like the main character in this topic?

I didn't pay much attention at the time, but today I finally understood why Liam was so angry then.

It was because he couldn't bear to hear that Stella might be married...
