Chapter 12

My brother is very busy, but today he specially took a day off to entertain my friends.

The amusement park was completely empty, not even any staff around.

My brother looked at me tenderly, telling them:

"I invested in building this amusement park."

"I originally wanted a quiet day alone with Aria, so I had the park close for the day and sent all the staff home."

"If I'd known you were coming too, I would have kept some staff."

Olivia glared at me hatefully.

Jack and Chris sighed in admiration at my brother's wealth and influence.

Alex volunteered eagerly:

"Senior, then let me try being an amusement park staff."

"I've done that kind of work before."

His family is poor, so he often works part-time jobs.

The first ride we went on was the river rapids.

We put on raincoats and got into the raft.

After Alex pressed the start button, the raft carried us into a colorful cave.

I tilted my head back, admiring the beautiful projections on the cave walls. I felt my brother's hand gently rest on my thigh.
