Chapter 1

4,154 words

My wife was having an affair with a rich heir.

When I caught them in the act, instead of feeling guilty, they flew into a rage. They forced alcohol down my throat, dragged me to the edge of a high-rise balcony, and threw me off, framing my death as a tragic, drunken accident.

But they didn't know one thing.

I didn't die.

My soul was reborn into the body of that rich heir’s billionaire father.

From that moment on, my wife's lover became my son, and his gorgeous, seductive mother became my wife!

With my new identity as the patriarch of the family, my game of absolute revenge officially began.

"Arthur, what are you just standing there for? Come to bed."

The voice was soft and silky.

I looked over and saw a stunningly beautiful woman lying gracefully on the bed. She had a smoking-hot body with curves that could drive any man insane.

I had actually reincarnated.

And of all people, I had become Arthur Carter—the billionaire father of Vance Carter, the man who ruined my life.

The woman in front of me was Madeline Carter, Vance’s mother.

It seemed even God couldn't stand the injustice of my death, giving me the perfect identity to exact my revenge on that toxic couple.

My real name was Leo Henderson. I was twenty-six years old.

I used to have a beautiful, seemingly gentle wife named Chloe Bennett. We walked down the aisle right after graduating from college.

To provide her with a luxurious life, I worked day and night. On my days off, I even delivered food, braving the scorching sun and freezing rain. I didn't care how hard it was, as long as Chloe was happy.

But I never expected that while I treated her like my entire world, she treated me like absolute garbage.

On her twenty-fifth birthday, I wanted to give her a surprise. But when I unlocked the bedroom door, I caught her and another man tangled in the sheets, locked in a passionate embrace.

At that moment, my blood ran cold, and my entire body shook with rage.

"Chloe! Why?!"

With bloodshot eyes, I rushed forward, dragged Chloe off the bed, and slapped her hard across the face. Then, I dragged her lover off the mattress and beat him with everything I had, letting out all my built-up fury.

Holding her bruised cheek, Chloe screamed, "Leo! How dare you lay a hand on me! I'll kill you!"

She grabbed a heavy wooden folding tray from the bedside table and slammed it hard against the back of my head.

My vision instantly blurred. A sharp, excruciating pain flared through my skull, and the world began to spin. Before I knew it, darkness consumed me, and I collapsed onto the floor.

When I finally woke up, a bucket of ice-cold water was splashed onto my face. The freezing sensation made my lungs seize.

Seeing Chloe clinging tightly to Vance, my chest throbbed as if pierced by a thousand needles.

"Why? Why did you betray me? Haven't I given you everything these past few years?"

Chloe let out a cold laugh, as if she had just heard the funniest joke in the world.

"You did all that because you wanted to, Leo. I never forced you to be good to me."

"And betrayal? I never loved you in the first place. How can it be betrayal? The only man I’ve ever loved is Vance, not you."

My heart shattered. "Never loved me? Then why did you marry me?!"

Vance, the wealthy heir, smiled mockingly.

"Why marry you? Because I love the thrill of taking what belongs to other men. I didn't just want to sleep with your wife; I wanted you to work yourself to death raising my kid while I laughed behind your back! I just didn't expect you to find out so soon."

My heart bled.

All these years, I had been nothing but a toy for their sick amusement—a tool to satisfy Vance's twisted fantasies.

She had never felt a single ounce of affection for me.

They began to mock and insult me, even trying to perform their disgusting acts right in front of my face. But when they saw the sheer, murderous hatred in my eyes, they panicked. They forced a bottle of whiskey down my throat, dragged me to the balcony of the twentieth floor, and pushed me over, making it look like a tragic accident.

I fell, smashing into a bloody pulp on the pavement below.
